Bananas contain tryptophan, serotonin and norepinephrine, which help alleviate depression and also help one to relax. The B vitamins found in them also help to calm and soothe the nervous system

Celery: contain vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, E, K, PP and minerals such as iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and zinc. Vitamin C contained by celery strengthens the immunologic system and at the same time makes the body more resistant against new diseases.

Fresh mango: is a very rich source of potassium. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure.

Lime: There are two main causes of Gout. While the first reason is accumulation of free radicals in the body; the second is accumulation of toxins, primarily uric acid.

Ginger: May provide migraine relief due to its ability to stop prostaglandins from causing pain and inflammation in blood vessels.

Apple: The natural fibre found in Gala apples is pectin. Apples possess more pectin than any other fruit. A diet high in fibre-rich apples has been shown to reduce blood pressure and prevent colon cancer.

RIGHT ON TIME

Here's another wild concoction that seems to work a treat.. right on time.. wallop!

Regular inclusion of swiss chard in the diet is found to prevent osteoporosis, iron deficiency anaemia, vitamin A deficiency and believed to protect from cardiovascular diseases and colon and prostate cancers

Purple sprouting broccoli is a source of iron and also vitamin C, which helps the body to absorb iron. Iron is used to make healthy red blood cells.

Strawberries contain folate. This is another heart-healthy nutrient. Studies show that people with lower concentrations of folate in their body increase their risk for fatal coronary problems and coronary disease.

Red grapes benefits like anti-aging, anti-virus and anti-tumor. You might have noticed that it is the skin that plays the biggest role and provides these red grapes health benefits. In the bone of contention of red grapes vs green grapes, clearly red grapes are the winner.

Goat's milk is a good source of vitamin B2, which is also referred to as riboflavin. Riboflavin is key to the body's ability to gain and maintain energy. It does this by attaching to protein enzymes that allow for oxygen-based energy production

The seeds of the grape are not the only valuable part in a grape. There is a substance found in the skin (not flesh) of grapes, called "resveratrol".
Researchers reported in a study that resveratrol is converted in the body to a known anti-cancer agent that can selectively target and destroy cancer cells.

Bananas are rich in vitamin B6 and they are a good source of fiber, vitamin C, magnesium and potassium. Lack of B6 in a diet can cause weakness, irritability and insomnia.

A medium-sized banana provides 400 mg of potassium -11% of daily value- and contains 110 calories and 4 grams of fiber..

Two bananas a day can help control high blood pressure, offering a cheap alternative to expensive drugs.

Raw Cacao ie Chocolate contains more magnesium than any other food. Magnesium is the number one mineral deficiency in the west. It is the most powerful stress relieving mineral. It also relaxes the muscles and builds strong bones and teeth.

Purple sprouting and green broccoli contain more calcium and folic acid than other varieties of broccoli. About(170g) servings of broccoli a week lowers the risk of cancer.

Plums are good source of fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and lutein and zeaxanthin, pigments that help protect your vision. Eating three or more servings of fruit a day can lower by about one-third your risk of age-related macular degeneration, the primary cause of vision loss in older adults.

Fresh pineapple may contain enzymes that can break up blood clots, reducing the risk of heart diseases.

Ginger contains good amount of minerals like potassium, manganese, copper, and magnesium. Potassium in an important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure.

The vitamin A (beta-carotene), vitamin E and selenium present in mangoes provide protection against heart disease.

Baby spinach is very high in vitamin K, A, C and folate. A 2 cup serving of raw baby spinach meets over 25 percent of the Recommended Daily Value or DV for vitamin C and nearly 400 for vitamin K.

Beetroot is great for boosting stamina and making muscles work harder, it also contains potassium, magnesium and iron as well as vitamins A, B6 and C, and folic acid. Beetroot also contain carbohydrates, protein, powerful antioxidants and soluble fibre.

Courgettes are 90% water, low in calories and fat. They contain vitamins A and C, plus folate and potassium.

Cucumbers, like watermelons, are 95% water, they keep the body hydrated and help regulate the body’s inner temperature. They also help the body flush out toxins.

Celery has been used as a diuretic for centuries. Its diuretic effect comes from its balance of potassium and sodium which helps to flush out excess fluid from the body.

Avocado is a powerhouse of vitamin E which protects our skin from free radicals.

Blueberries contain significant amounts of antioxidants, anthocyanins, vitamin C, manganese and dietary fibre.

Blackberries are a good source of vitamin K, offering up 36% of the daily recommended amount of vitamin K. Vitamin K is used by the body for the normal clotting of blood and to aid the absorption of calcium

The anthocyanins present in raspberry have been found to reduce the risk of heart disease and also delay the effects of aging

Three or more servings of strawberries (and other fruits) per day can decrease the possibility of contracting age-related macular degeneration by over one-third.

One banana has an impressive 34% of the RDA of vitamin B6, which serves many important roles in the body's health. For example, the B6 in bananas acts as an anti-inflammatory agent that helps ward off cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes, as well as obesity.
